Sample Sponsorship letter for Motivational Keynote Speaker – Brad Montgomery
Note from Brad: I love working with sponsors, and have a black belt at helping them get the most from their investment. (And that is what it is about for them… and investment. They want to get their brand/services/products in front of your people. And this is an opportunity for them to do just that.)
It’s important NOT to turn my keynote speech into a commercial. Your audience will hate us if we do that. But it’s also important that your sponsor gets MORE than just a mention, a banner, and a handshake. I’m great at helping them get value without offending your folks. How? I use humor. I am able to joke about the sponsor, their talking points and their needs in a way that REALLY helps them get their info out there in a fun, safe way. And the audience will know who helped bring me in to speak to them, and whatever talking points they wanted to get across.
Bottom line: we can use humor to make everybody laugh AND meet the needs of the sponsor, you as a planner, and the audience as a whole.

I am writing to see if you and (Company Name) would be interested in sponsoring a presentation for the members of (Your Organization). We would like to invite Brad Montgomery, CSP to present a program on how to use levity, lightheartedness and humor to reduce stress and improve productivity. Brad is an expert on the Humor in the Workplace, and plans to help us to use humor to manage stress, assist in employee recruitment and retention, and just plain give us a much needed laughter break.
The program is Laugh-O-Nomics: Connecting Happiness at Work to Business Success. The participants will articulate techniques for using levity, This program is presented by Brad Montgomery, CSP., a member of the National Speakers Association, and has been presented to audiences in all of the 50 United States. BEST IDEA: The single most effective way Brad can help you get a huge return on your investment is to sign copies of his book AT THE SPONSORS table or exhibit space in the exhibit hall. Usually the sponsor will buy a book for each attendee, and then Brad announces from the stage that thanks to ‘Acme Company’ everybody gets a books. He builds it up; he makes it a huge deal. They’ll clap and cheer. (It feels like Oprah!)
Best of all, they will ALL make their way to the exhibit hall (or wherever else you want them) where they will line up, get the free book, and get access to your products, services and messages. If you like, we can have special stickers printed for the books with your messaging and logos.
