I’m just back for a speaking for a group of fine folks in North Dakota. They wanted more than just a motivational speaker: they wanted somebody to come and facilitate some actual change.
I was jazzed about the program…and even more jazzed now. Check out this cool letter from one of the participants:
Brad,
I was part of the SENDCAA/Headstart you spoke to in Fargo, ND. I just wanted to let you know that I took home the idea of talking about something funny that happened during the day. My 3 year old daughter has grasped this concept and brings it up every night at dinner. Her exact words are “What is something silly happened to you today?”. Every night we talk about something…although she doesn’t always understand what is silly (she just says something that happened-i.e. I read a story today about sharks), it opens up a conversation for everybody. It catches people of guard when they are visiting, but everybody appreciates it!
Thanks for the great idea!
Alanna

How cool is that!? I love my job as a motivational speaker. But hearing that we actually create change is unbelievably flattering. Way to go Alana!
