PANDEMIC POWER TIPS
It’s mid quarantine (again) and everyone is ready to leave this pandemic in the rear view mirror. BUT, I am here to remind you that you have been rocking all the pandemic challenges better than you might think. (Yup, I’m a motivational speaker…remember?)
PANDEMICS SUCK, BUT WE CAN ADAPT
First tip—give yourself a pat on the back for adapting. We have learned that pandemics suck, but we can adjust. Zoom meetings are getting old, but they are not as bad as they used to be. You’re almost getting used to staying home all of the time (well, ALMOST). And your family hasn’t driven you completely crazy.
My advice is to take the W! It has been hard, but you’re doing it. Give yourself a pat on the back for being the poster child for adapting to massive change in a short amount of time.
POSITIVE LEADERSHIP IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER
The pandemic has overwhelmed us all, but there’s a good chance that those around you need you even more than ever. Your kids need you to be a beacon of positivity, your spouse needs you to be upbeat, and your team still needs you to build them up and inspire them.
YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY? MAKE OTHERS HAPPY
This type of behavior—leading others with positivity and attitude—makes you better and more resilient. And know that based in science, leading others with a great attitude and a positive outlook increases YOUR well being. And your happiness.
Bottom line: you want to be happy? Make others happy. Right now they need you more than ever. You’re got this.
